Australian court finds Coles misled customers over discounts, exposing grocer to potential hundreds of millions in fines.
Federal Court Justice Michael O'Bryan found 13 out of 14 sample sale tickets examined had not offered genuine discounts. The maximum penalty could be $50 million per breach of consumer law, which could total hundreds of millions of dollars.
