UN food agency report raises food safety concerns over recycled plastics in packaging

The Food and Agriculture Organization said that as the share of recycled plastic used in food contact materials grows, serious questions must be raised around chemical safety. It called for discussion of globally harmonised standards and urged industry not to minimise potential health risks.
