Nearly 90% of major food companies received low animal welfare ratings in 2025, BBFAW reports.
The annual benchmark assessed 149 global food companies and found that 135 received Impact Ratings of E or F, indicating limited or no evidence that higher welfare commitments are being implemented. The findings come despite growing public commitments on issues such as cage-free eggs and humane slaughter.
