Australian researchers report rise in illicit alcohol including contaminated vodka sold at licensed Melbourne retailers
A preliminary investigation of licensed retailers in Melbourne found illicit bottles of vodka being sold at lower prices than competitor products. Chemical testing showed the bottles contained methanol well above allowable levels, as well as plastic contaminants.
