Food Institute reports on customer experience with voice AI ordering at a Wendy’s drive-thru

PR consultant Michael Schiferl placed his first drive-thru order via voice AI at a Wendy’s in suburban Chicago and described the experience as "not awful… just a bit off." He said the system failed to prompt him to pull forward and asked about fry sizes that did not match his combo order.
