Germany’s plant-based meat alternatives production fell 1.2% in 2025, Destatis reports.

Output declined to 124,900 tonnes in 2025 from 126,500 tonnes in 2024, according to the Federal Statistical Office. The value of meat and meat products produced reached €45.2 billion, about 70 times higher than plant-based alternatives.
