Madre Brava says rising meat prices in Europe create opportunity for plant-based alternatives
From 2019 to 2025, meat prices increased by an average of 34% in Germany, 29% in Spain and 42% in the UK, according to data from Euromonitor International. While plant-based alternatives were €2.36 per kilogram more expensive than processed meat in Germany in 2019, they were €0.40 cheaper in 2025.
