Exchange for Change announces handling fees for UK deposit return scheme retailers
It unveiled the fees that will be paid to return point operators when the scheme launches in October 2027. The fees will be set at 3p per container for manual return points, with automatic return points paid 5p per container up to 225,000 items per year and 1.3p above that level.
